Friday Freebie: Clipper Ship Elements

The idea for this digital scrapbooking freebie came to me when I saw these old fashioned tall ship drawings. I love this particular motif and wanted to try and offer it in a form that was usable.

I used the picture frame option on the image tab in Paint Shop Pro to get the tape and background effect. You could mount your photos in the same manner on your layout and they would match the elements.

I hope you can use these Clipper Ship Elements.

If you have a lot of nautical photos, try using my other nautical designs:

Nautical Symbols

#5 In My Overlay Series: Fall Overlays Freebie

There is a special bonus in today's Fall Overlays download. I have included the .jpgs of the overlays so you have the origianl photo and the overlay. The photos are featured in the preview so you can get a better idea of the coloring.

When using these types of overlays you can get as creative as you possibly can think of. Here is a licesne to "think outside the box" and come up with very unique looking papers and/or designs for layouts.

If you have been following my blog awhile you know that I have an ongoing series of overlays that I have been offering. This is the fifth in the series. Here are the links to the other four overlay freebies:

Winter Overlays

Lighthouse Overlay Borders

Tropical Overlays

Summer Overlays

Three of the four photos were taken in Ashe County, North Carolina. Can you tell which one was taken in Golden, Colorado? LOL

Freebie For Thursday: Summer Overlays

Here is part 4 of my Overlay Series. This is called Summer Overlays. Use these images to enhance the background of a layout by experimenting with different colors underneath the overlay layer. You can even grayscale the overlays and change the look dramatically.

You can get the other overlays by following these links:

Lighthouse Alphabet Freebie

Starting today and continuing for a couple of more days, my digital scrapbooking freebies are going to have a nautical theme. Today the theme is lighthouses. So here is the Lighthouse Alphabet freebie.

If you missed my other freebies that could go with this download then check out the following:

• Nautical Symbols
• Nautical Alphabet
• Lighthouse Border Overlays

Come back tomorrow for a nautical themed kit (and of course the next day for the add on.)

Land Ho: Light House Overlays Freebie

Hey there. A big "thank you" to all the sweet comments about the Apple Sets. I'm glad you liked them! Several downloaders said that apples were their "thing."

Well, my "thing" is light houses. Everywhere we travel we try to make a stop at the local light house and climb it if we can. We did the NC Outer Banks a few years ago. Some of the overlays came from photos on that trip.

Also, living in FL there are light houses all over the place. There are a couple here. (I can't seem to find my photos I took when we were at Ponce Inlet. When I find them, I'll do a Light House Overlay Add On! LOL)

These Light House Border Overlays are border size, not full page, so have fun using them with your own light house photos (or any other photos you want to use.)

My Winter Overlays were such a popular download that I have started working on a series. So I guess you could call this the second part of that series.
