Talladega Wordart Freebie

I'm taking a break today from the Countries of the World Template Series to offer some NASCAR wordart for Talladega Superspeedway. Today's race is at the Alabama race track.

There is some Dale Jr. stuff in this pack as well as some NASCAR general stuff like "Gentlemen Start Your Engines." This set will be great for all you Talladega Infield "Crazies" (I use that word as a term of affection.)

Check out my other NASCAR stuff, like the NASCAR Collection and Add On . Even my Daytona Template can be modified with the Talladega Wordart from today. You can also use my Alabama template from the State Template Series for part of your Talladega layout.

And if you missed the post the other day, check out Scrapbook Design Down Under for a map of Alabama. You can print this wordart and the elements from my kits and use for paper scrapping as well as use them for digiscrapping. Now you have the "tools" to create your own Tallagedega scrapbook. OR you can call it "JR Wins at 'Dega!" LOL

The CotW Template Series continues tomorrow with the Jamaica template. Here is today's freebie: Talladega Wordart.

Your Layouts!

This layout is from Deborah at the Misfit Princess. Excellent work! And thanks so much for the mention on your blog!!!!! Deborah used my Alabama template which is part of the State Template Series.

Your Layouts!

Here is a layout from makeyesup using part of my Alabama template. See her post at Make It Scrappy, where she explains the inspiration for her work and gives all the designer credits.

Thanks for sharing your work!

There are still more to come tomorrow. See you then!

Who Knew?

When I posted my Alabama template, I mentioned that a lot of digi scrappers probably weren't into NASCAR. Well, that's not the case in Alabama! I got so many responses from NASCAR fans from there! I'm glad I am not the only one who likes scrapping and NASCAR!

I guess what I meant to say was that people outside of Alabama who wanted to scrap their Alabama pics might not be into NASCAR like we are. Everyone has some kind of character flaws, huh? LOL

Speed weeks are here in the Daytona area and I'm very anxious to see how my driver, Dale Jr, does this year. I admire him for stepping away from DEI because it was something he felt he had to do. Sounds like a little bit of his Daddy in him, huh?

BTW, if you haven't seen his new Amp commercial, you can see it here. It ran in the pre-game show for the Super Bowl.

Freebie Template: Alabama

Ok, I told you yesterday that I was having trouble getting ideas for states that would translate to a template. Some things just don't do well as an outline to fill in with a picture or text!

Alabama was one such problem. Now don't get me wrong, Alabama has ALOT to offer people, but just how to get it into a template? That was the problem.

All I could think of was "Sweet Home Alabama" (which is probably one of the coolest songs ever written) and Talladega Motor Speedway! The "sweet home" part wasn't a problem, but I know you digi scrappers aren't NASCAR's biggest supporters!

Then my fiance' mentioned what is on your license plates. I looked it up and "Stars Fell On Alabama" is a jazz song dating back to the early 1930's. So that is why the Alabama template has stars all over it.
