Template Freebie: Denmark

Well, after several days of Final Four downloads, it is back to the Countries of the World Template Series. Today's offering is the Denmark template.

My finace', Jeff, and I were very lucky to be able to stay for several nights at the home of the US Ambassador when we visited Denmark last fall. I actually slept in the same bed that Bill Clinton had once slept in. (I'm glad they told me that on the last morning there and not the first night...LOL)

My layout for this template shows Jeff in front of Rydhave, the official name of the the estate. During WWII the house was occupied by the head of the German forces in Denmark, Dr. Werner Best. His piano still stands in the first floor of the house.

Dr. Best surrendered the German's hold on Denmark at the end of the war in the room that is now used as a living room. It was undescribable the feeling you got knowing the history of the house. We even went into the bunker that Dr. Best had built under the house. It has been converted into a kind of family room where the Ambassador's 2 daughters watch tv, play ping pong and surf on their computers!

NCAA Final Four Freebie Add On

Here is the Final Four Scrapping Kit Add On as promised. If you missed the first part of the kit yesterday you can get the Final Four Scrapping Kit here. Tomorrow I will offer the Final Four template.

Tomorrow is also the first of the games on tv. I do not have a team to pull for this year. If you know about in-state rivalries you'll know I simply can't bring myself to pull for UNC-Chapel Hill. We were an NC State household growing up. My dad graduated there in 1955.

So, no offence to the Carolina team. I know you understand. LOL

BTW, it has been 25 years since NC State won the NCAA championship. I was in college in Raleigh (Peace College) when it happened. What an experience!

Good luck to all 4 teams. Well, 3 of them at least! Just kidding. No hate email please!

Final Four Digital Scrapbooking Freebie

I'm taking a short break from my Countries of the World Template Series to offer you some basketball scrapbooking stuff. The NCAA Men's Final 4 is this weekend so I thought some of you might like some papers and elements. I'll also have a Final Four template on Saturday.

Although some of you might not be fans of college basketball, you might have friends or family who are. Or you might have a child or grandchild at one of the 4 participating universities. Or you might like professional basketball better. Any way you look at it, you could use some or all of the papers/elements from the Final Four Scrapping Kit.
