Last year at this time I introduced a Currier and Ives themed collection. It was very popular so I thought I would offer something similar this year.

Currier and Ives Alphabet Freebie

One of my favorite Christmas carols is Sleigh Ride. Either with or without lyrics, it doesn't really matter because the song is wonderful both ways. In the lyrics of the song it mentions "a picture print by Currier and Ives." I wonder how many people know what that means? Could you identify a Currier and Ives china print if you saw it?

My mother was always pointing things out to my sister and me that were part of our cultural education. I wonder how many 15 year olds have even heard of Currier and Ives?

Well anyway, I have created a freebie alphabet based on a Currier and Ives print called American Farm Scenes 4. I have combined the print with the colors of the china patterns to make a unique alphabet that can go with any heritage pictures.

But of course you can also use it with my up coming freebie, Sleigh Ride Collection.

Currier and Ives Light Bulbs Freebie

Here is the latest in my Currier and Ives/Sleigh Ride series. I was experimenting with different styles in Photoshop and I designed something I will post tomorrow. These light bulbs were an "aha" moment while I was playing around. I wanted to get them posted while you were still downloading the original Currier and Ives Alphabet and the Sleigh Ride Collection (with Add On)

FREEBIE: Textured Light Bulbs

Good Morning! Well, the nasty weather is starting here in Florida. The high today should be 69 with the low tonight 39.! That's COLD here! LOL

Time to snuggle up in front of a good football game today! The Pittsburgh Steelers play at 1:00 pm! But unfortunately I have to go out in all of this first and teach my classes at the gym!

Here is today's freebie. It's called Textured Light Bulbs and it is made with one of the new styles I downloaded into Photoshop.

There are 19 bulbs in this set. I just picked a few to go in my display bag. (You can pick up the display bags at The Ephemeral Victorian.)

I know that technically the ends of Christmas tree light bulbs are supposed to be metal colored. But technically they aren't textured, or look like Currier and Ives prints either. Call it creative license!

I hope you enjoy them!

Freebie: Sleigh Ride Collection

And now: The Sleigh Ride Collection. I hope you can use this with either your Christmas or winter photos. The background papers can even be used for "boy" layouts. And of course it goes with my Currier and Ives Alphabet from yesterday.

Hint: There's another egg in this collection.

Forgot To Mention

By the way, I forgot to mention that my Currier and Ives Alphabet is only in uppercase letters and has no numbers or puncuation marks. I hope this doesn't discourage you from downloading it! The template I was using to make the alphabet was only in uppercase! I liked the final result so much that I figured that would be ok. A title in "all caps" is fine.

Anyway, I hope you like it!
