Last Of the CotW Template Series: South Africa Template Freebie

Today is the last day of my second template series, the Countries of the World Template Series. This series consists of 49 templates that were requested by bloggers. If you don't see your country it is because no one requested it.

Today the South Africa Template is offered for you for download. The animal on the template is the springbok and it is a national symbol of South Africa. The hut represents the houses that the Zulus live in.

Friday Freebie: Kuwait Template

This morning I am offering you the next to last template in the Countries of the World Template Series. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm for the entire process! I'm glad you have liked the results!

It isn't easy to make this many templates and not repeat a few elements or fonts or even the general style of a layout. Some of the templates turned out way better than some of the others. I'm sure everyone has their favorites and their not-so-favorites.

I always make it a habit to let someone know if I am linking to their blog (like I did yesterday) because who knows, someone might not like what I am doing and may not want to be associated with it! This has started some pretty cool web/blog "friendships" that I hope will continue.

Freebie: New Zealand Template

Good morning. Well, the Countries of the World Template Series is almost over. There are 2 more templates after today's New Zealand Template.

I discoverd when desiging this template that New Zealand has sort of a "second flag" that conveys a lot of national pride. I decided to use it on the template.

So this flag is not the "official" flag of the country, but it is very well known and loved in New Zealand!

I'll be offering Kuwait tomorrow and South Africa on Saturday. Before I start the new series, Major Cities of the World Template Series, I will be posting some kits and other things I have been working on for awhile. Then we'll jump into the 36 requested citites!

Any city you want can be requested. It doesn't have to be a huge hub of the world. It can be your hometown! However, if it is a lesser known city you might want to give me a few details or a web address so I can get some inspiration. If you think I don't know anything about it you can fill me in.

Kyra at With A Russian/Dutch Heart has posted another state kit. This one is of Idaho. It will go great with my State Template Series :the Idaho template.

As everyone predicted, Kristi Yamaguchi has advanced to the finals of ABC's Dancing With the Stars. Way to go!!!!

CotW Freebie: Ecuador

When today's Countries of the World Template Series freebie was requested I said to myself,
"Ecuador? Why in the heck would anyone want a template of that?" Not that there is anything WRONG with Ecuador at all. (No hate email please.)

Then as I looked up the country I saw that Ecuador is home to the Galapagos Islands. So you see I am learning (or re-learning as the case may be) a lot of things about a lot of places I either never knew or had totally forgotten. I hope you guys are learning (or remembering) stuff too!

I would simply LOVE to go to the Galapagos Islands! Along with the Northern Lights, that's something I know I MUST see before I leave this earth!

You can use her elements and stuff on this template and the Morocco Template, as well as the South African Template I will be offering later in the week.

You can use one of the 3 frames on this template for journaling or you can use the outline of the country that is behind the word Egypt.

OR you can do like I do and sometimes not journal at all. Although journaling is nice for those who don't know anything about the subject or the photo, there is no law that says you HAVE to journal! No Digiscrap Police will come and take you away!

So design your layout with elements and journaling that you feel comfortable with and let YOUR personality shine thru!!!!

This is number 44 in the series! I can't believe I have designed so many of these templates. It doesn't seem like that many until I go back to the link and keep scrolling and scrolling! LOL

Austria Template is Today's Freebie

It's back over to Europe today and tomorrow for your Countries of the World Template Series freebies. Today is the Austria Template.

YEAH Kristi Yamaguchi!!!

Olympic gold medalist Kristi Yamaguchi will be honored with the Sonya Henie Award.
She'll receive the award at the annual Professional Skaters
Association awards dinner on May 22 in Chicago. The honor is one of several EDI awards, a tribute to Edi Scholdan, an Olympic coach and the first president of the Professional Skaters Association.
Sixteen years after she won the gold medal, Yamaguchi remains one of the most recognizable athletes in the sport.
She's competed on the Dancing with the Stars program and in numerous skating shows. ~SI.com

Today's Freebie: Morocco Template

When one of my clients told me she was taking a trip to Morocco, I never thought one day I'd be asking her if I could borrow a picture from that trip to use in a digital scrapbooking layout of a template I had designed!

Well, that is exactly what happened. A blog reader requested a Morocco Template and since I try to do as many layouts with my own templates as I can, I asked Tammie for a photo.

Remember, the Countries of the World Template Series is winding down. I already have 32 requests for my new series, Major Cities of the World.


Also, tomorow is Mother's Day and I am suprised how few downloads my Mother's Day Template has gotten. Maybe everyone is waiting until after Mother's Day to download their digiscrap stuff.

CotW Template Series Freebie: China Template

Good Morning! Today's Countries of the World Template Series freebie is the China Template. This is one of those templates where I left the journaling to be done 'free hand" in an open area. I did not want the template to look too cluttered since the flag was so prominent.

There are only 8 more templates in this series. After that I have a few kits to offer and a special collection that will fit right in with the State Template Series.

Also, please note that your eyes are not playing tricks on you...I have altered my blog's design just a bit to make the post area larger. So, yes. it does seem just a little bit different! LOL

With A Russian/Dutch Heart. I saw another kit for Washington State as well. I haven't explored further yet because I wanted to send this out to everyone as quickly as possible!!.

This Oregon kit was actually after the Washington kit so the link I used will put you ahead of it. Your best bet is to check out the entire site!

Your Layouts!

Deborah, Deborah, Deborah!! I just love you to death!!!! She has been using my State Template Series designs again!

She is putting everyone else to shame because she has single-handedly designed (and submitted) more of my templates than everyone else combined!!!! She is proving that you don't actually have to have visited a state to do a template about it.


I love the whimsical Kansas design...that's the Emerald City there!!! LOL How cute and creative! You can tell she loves to digiscrap just for the sake of doing it!

Update: Kristi Yamaguchi

Although Kristi Yamaguchi is still in the running on ABC's Dancing With the Stars, she is no longer in first place. Kristi and her partner, Mark Ballas, have been using very difficult moves in their routines.

Kristi's husband, Brett Hedican, has been her biggest fan as she continues to advance in each round of the competition. As the field grows more narrow, it will be harder for each contestant to pull ahead. These are the best that are left.

Good luck, Krisiti!!! We are still behind you 100%!!

Finland Template Freebie

Sorry that today's digital scrapbooking freebie is so late in coming. I had a meeting this morning that took longer than expected. Then I discovered that one of my posts didn't have a country outline in it. So I wanted to correct that as soon as I could.

Finally, I am caught up! So here is the Finland Template. I discovered while researching the country that the swan was considered sacred in parts of the country so I decided to use it as the theme for the template.

Thanks to redredrobbin for calling to my attention the fact that the Saudi Arabia template didn't have a country outline. Geez, I haven't done that since Maine and Michigan!

So here is the Saudi Arabia 2 Template. You decide which one you would like to use.
