Thanks to Ann_Ominous who suggested something I hadn't even thought about. She wanted to know if I could make a template for West Germany before the Berlin Wall fell. And actually I was in West Germany when we lived over there, 1985-1987.
Since I was going to make a West German template, I figured I should also make one for East Germany. The new Germany has adopted the West German flag, so I kept the flag element from the Germany template. Because the East German flag was slightly different, I decided to add something else to the East Germany template.
I wanted to symbolize the Berlin Wall in some way but I could not find a picture that I could convert into a template element. That is why I decided to use the sign from Checkpoint Charlie as the symbol to represent the Berlin Wall. It is not my intention in any way to offend anyone. I hope that I have not done so.
Get both the East and West Germany templates here.

thanks, you are so generous and so obliging to any request. We are blessed to have you.
THANK YOU!!!!!
I don't think the fact that Germany spent so many years divided should be ignored. I also hope that no one is offended.
I am not downloading any of these templates as I have not been out of the US, but I just wanted to tell you how cool it is that you are doing this for people who have. You have a very generous spirit and heart and I hope that you will never lose that. I still come by your blog though just to hear the stories you tell about how you created each template. Keep up the great work for everyone who appreciates what you do.
Thanks! You might want to download Canada and Mexico since they are so close. You never know when you might cross the border! LOL Look for those templates soon. They were requested early.
Great! Since my boyfriend is from former East Germany and I am from West Germany, your templates will be used to scrap our special love-reunion ;-) I am so happy that there's no border - otherwhise I would have never met him!!
Thank you so much. These will work great with my genealogy scrapbooking.

Thank you so much for these templates. The East German will come in handy when I have the pictures from my trip there before the reunion digitized. Thanks again for making these and offering them to us.
